Dan-sim wakes to find herself back in the Joseon era. While she tries to return to the present, Se-gye deals with the fallout from Mun-do's scheming.

Dan-sim and Seo-ri's worlds start to collide. Se-gye takes Dan-sim to meet someone important to him, but she reveals that they're running out of time.

Seo-ri's grandmother's health takes a bad turn. Later, Dan-sim is presented with a difficult ultimatum — that puts her future with Se-gye on the line.

Dan-sim's choice sends her back to the Joseon era, leaving Se-gye heartbroken and alone in the modern world. Will fate allow them to reunite?
